CALL FOR ABSTRACTS PROMIS® in Action:
Clinical and Research Implementations and Implications

October 17, 2017 – Philadelphia, PA Abstract Instructions Abstracts must be received no later than Midnight (CDT – USA) Sunday, June 4, 2017. 2. Please indicate preferred presentation type (oral or poster). Abstracts not accepted for oral sessions will be considered for posters.

Individuals can serve as author on multiple abstracts, however, any individual may present a maximum of two accepted abstracts. Unless otherwise specified and agreed, the first author will be considered as the presenting author, and must register for the conference.
You will be notified of the decision and presentation format via email by July 21, 2017. All abstracts will be distributed to conference participants and will be freely available in pdf format on the conference website. English is the official language of the conference. Categories

Directions for Abstract Submission

Place each abstract on a separate page. The word limit for the abstract body is 300 words (excluding title, authors, and affiliations). Please use Arial 11 font and single spacing. Your abstract must include the information below. Please use the structured abstract form, which you can download AbstractSubmissionTemplate.pdf. A sample abstract can be viewed here: AbstractSubmissionExample.pdf

Title – Please use both upper and lower case letters in the title. LIMIT 15 words. Authors – List full name of all authors. Institutional Affiliations- List the primary institutional affiliation for each author. Body – Use separate paragraphs for each section — Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusions. Category – Indicate relevant category Type – indicate oral or poster Presenter – include name and email address of presenting author.

Abstracts must be received no later than Midnight (CDT –USA) Sunday, June 4, 2017.

Neue Publikation zur deutschen Übersetzung der PROMIS Itembank Depressivität

In einer Analyse von Daten aus der deutschen Bevölkerung und einer klinischen Stichprobe konnte gezeigt werden, dass die PROMIS Depressivitätsitembank hohen meßtheoretischen Ansprüchen gerecht wird. So sind zum Beispiel die mit dem Instrument erhobenen Daten zwischen Deutschland und der USA in hohem Maße vergleichbar. Die Publikation ist im International Journal of Methods in Psychiatric Research erschienen.

Sonderserie im JCE zur klinischen Validität der PROMIS Itembanken

Unter dem Titel “Clinical Validity of PROMIS Measures Across Several Chronic Conditions” erschienen im renommierten Journal of Clinical Epidemiology eine Reihe von Arbeiten, die die Validität der PROMIS Itembanken in verschiedenen Stichproben chronisch kranker Menschen untersuchen. Dabei zeigte sich, dass die PROMIS Itembanken Veränderungen, z.B. aufgrund von Interventionen gut abbilden können. Die Arbeiten finden Sie hier.
